Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ,
let us go on to perfection…. Hebrews 6:1

We have had amazing study time the past few years! We have journeyed together through the Word gleaning and partaking of just what it means to be a believer, a disciple of Jesus. We have deepened our relationships with one another and found ourselves in awe at the powerful changes God performed through the Holy Spirit in the lives of those who believed in Jesus, and also those who didn’t yet know Him. We have all been challenged to a life led by the Holy Spirit, Who reveals to us who we are in Christ. We also have a deeper understanding of the person of the Holy Spirit; the One who gives us the power to overcome life’s circumstances and daily temptations. His Spirit has created a bond of unity amongst us that no man could orchestrate!!

We believe each one that has been a part of EWBS could say that she has received fresh revelation of who God is and His love for her and toward her. However, we can also confess that there remains such a hunger to be continually enlightened which causes us to press on to know more of Him and His ways. Without revelation from Him, we can only know about Him, and His desire is for us to know and experience Him personally!

Our study this year will begin with seeing Paul giving guidance and direction, counseling in truth, as he writes to Titus and Philemon. Also, studying through 2 and 3 John, as well as Jude, will confirm our understanding of Christian character responsibilities. We are so looking forward to gleaning from these pastoral short letters, as today we face so many of the same challenges when it comes to sound doctrine and battles from without and within. We invite you to join us as we travel together with the Spirit through His Word, searching for greater enlightenment and understanding. There is no greater strength for one to stand on in days of challenge, than knowing they are standing on the living Word!!

At this time, we break away into our Core Groups to discuss our lesson for the week. The groups consist of 10-15 women and are facilitated by leaders who meet prior to the study to pray and prepare for the discussion.

Curriculum

"It's in the Book" is a course of study offered by Community Bible Study that provides the structure and material needed to facilitate meaningful Bible study.

Each study begins with a short commentary followed by questions that are to be answered by the participant and then discussed through individual insight during group discussion each week. Our desire is to seek the Holy Spirit for guidance and revelation of the truth.
