It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not
be subject again to a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1
During our 2006 - 2007 Bible study year, we walked with Luke through his gospel account of the life of Jesus. This journey with Luke, as we studied his detailed writings, brought new revelation to many of us. The revelation we received served to either increase our understanding of our Lord or caused us to sit at His feet and wait for that understanding. Either way, we spent time with Jesus as we shared our lives with one another!
As we reached the end of the Gospel of Luke, and what we thought was the end of our journey, we could clearly see that Luke's story was not finished. He had so uniquely detailed the life of Jesus from His birth, to His death, resurrection and ascension back to the Father - but we knew there was more to his story. There is yet another detailed account into the lives of those whom Jesus called His own. Those whom, upon His ascension, were promised the power that would allow them to overcome – the Holy Spirit. These believer's lives would be forever changed and they would become living witnesses of who Jesus is and of His unending love and awesome power.
Come join us as we begin our journey in the book of Acts with great expectation of what the Lord is going to reveal to us this year!
